Teresa and Tara (The Bridal Team) are a freelance hair and makeup team specialising in weddings, offering a bespoke on-lociation service to clients, whatever their needs may be. The girls joined forces in 2014 to offer brides in the North-west a one stop shop for hair and makeup needs for their big day. As demand for this service has grown, these two business minded ladies spotted a gap in the market for a bespoke service to offer brides a tailored service in the comfort of their home/venue, and so The Bridal Team was born.
Having worked on countless weddings to date Teresa and Tara have developed an eye and an understanding of what works best to create a harmonious look between hair and makeup. With 20 years combined experience in the hair and beauty industry, both are formally trained artists and are dedicated to making their clients look and feel truly amazing. The girls signature style is red carpet worthy looks that are modern, chic and stylish, whilst been tailored to each individuals style.

I’ve always had an interest and a flare for makeup, as I’d been asked over the years to do makeup for family and friends weddings. Having initially trained with the highly reputable Oonagh Bowman School of Makeup in Belfast, I have gone on to train with some of the country’s top educators in the industry, and more recently with top Australian and US make up artists.
I believe makeup application is something that makes women feel beautiful and empowered and builds self confidence, so playing a part in this process is really special to me. This is especially the case with bridal makeup. I really love playing a part in the magic that happens on the morning of a bride’s special day. Such a buzz!
My approach to makeup is always to enhance my clients natural beauty, rather than masking it. After all, I am paid to make my clients look amazing, and sometimes that means knowing what to hold back on as opposed to using every trick in the makeup book at once. I love to create beautiful ‘skin’ and i believe that once this is achieved everything else will look good.
I feel passionately about the art of make-up and the ability of make-up, no matter how subtle or bold, to make all the difference to how you can feel about yourself, especially on your wedding day.

I have been in the hair industry for over 18 years and never get bored of it. I opened my own salon in 2008, so I’m delighted to say I’ve been in business on my own for over ten years! I have had the opportunity to work on fashion shows, photoshoots and film, and of course, weddings. My true passion is bridal hair, and I am now an established bridal stylist.
I specialise in all types of bridal hairstyling from beautiful upstyles, half upstyles, curls and colour, and throughout my career, I have undertaken numerous courses from the likes of Wella Academy in Dublin. I will ensure there isn’t a hair out of place. I love to start your hair journey long before your big day, and get your colour perfect and in amazing condition, using top class hair treatments like Olaplex.
To compliment any good hair style, the makeup is equally important and I love teaming up with one of the best makeup artists I know, Tara McClean. We truly love working together, which helps create a great atmosphere on your special day. I have also trained with Oonagh Bowman, and for larger bookings, I also assist Tara with makeup.

The day Tara did my makeup for the very first time I just knew that I had to book her for my wedding day!! From the moment of my wedding hair trial, I knew I was in safe hands with Teresa. She is creative, patient, and knew exactly what I wanted. Teresa was recommended to me by wedding photographer Paula Gillespie. I had researched other hair specialists, however I couldn’t find anyone who understood hair like Teresa.
